MLS laser at TexStar is a light applied to a small area after the doctor has decided the tissue is a fit for it. All four clinics have it. It does not replace the exam, and it is not a promise of lasting relief. Results vary.
When the doctor reaches for it
Laser is considered when an area is irritable and the exam says light is a better first step than a strong manual thrust. It may be used around a neck, a back, a knee, or a sore spot from activity. Pregnancy limits where it can be applied. The doctor will say if you are not a candidate.
The treatment page is MLS laser. Older articles on this site sometimes promised more than a light session can deliver. This one does not. Laser may reduce pain and help an area settle for some people. Results vary.
What you feel
Most people feel little to no heat. A session is short and stays on the skin. It is drug-free. It is not a reason to skip medical care for a hot, infected, or unstable joint.
