Physical Rehab

Rehab at TexStar is exercise and assisted stretching done in the clinic, aimed at the weakness or stiffness the exam found. It sits next to adjustments or decompression when those are also appropriate.

What Rehab Is Usually Added For

Rehab is prescribed against a finding. If the exam did not turn one up, you do not need the exercise.
  • Relief that keeps arriving and then leaving again after a few days
  • Hips or mid-back strength that gives out before the painful area does
  • Balance that has quietly narrowed what you are willing to do
  • A posture the chiropractor can reproduce your symptoms from

What a Session Can Include

Core work, balance drills, posture practice, and machine-assisted stretching on equipment such as Precor are used when they match the findings. The chiropractor or rehab staff shows the movement, watches it, and changes the load if form breaks down.

How This Differs from a Gym Membership

The exercises are chosen for a painful joint or a weak pattern, not for a general workout. You may get a short home piece later. The clinic does not claim that exercise alone replaces an exam when symptoms are worsening.

Why the Home Piece Stays Small

A list of fifteen exercises gets abandoned in a week. Staff would rather send you out with two movements you will actually repeat, then add to them once those are automatic. Tell the chiropractor honestly how much time you have, because a plan built for time you do not have is not a plan.

Machine-Assisted Stretching

Some clinics use assisted stretching equipment to hold a position you cannot hold alone, particularly through the hips and the mid-back. It is a way to get a longer, steadier stretch with less guarding. The exact machines on site differ by office, and the staff will tell you what is in that room.

Rehab After Decompression or an Adjustment

Pairing is common. Manual or table work can improve how a joint moves, and rehab is what asks the surrounding muscles to hold that change under load. Doing one without the other is sometimes the right call, and the chiropractor will explain which order they are using and why.

Step by step

How Rehab Gets Built

It starts from an exam finding and stays measurable. Nothing is added because it is on a standard sheet.

  • 1The exam names the specific weakness, stiffness, or balance loss
  • 2Staff demonstrate the movement and watch your first repetitions
  • 3Load or range is changed the moment form breaks down
  • 4The finding is retested so you can see whether the work is paying

Stop and Get Checked Instead of Pushing Through

Rehab should be uncomfortable at worst. These are not things to exercise past.

  • Pain that travels further down the limb as you repeat a movement
  • New numbness or weakness that appears during the exercise
  • Chest pain, breathlessness, or dizziness with exertion
  • Sharp joint pain that lingers well after the session ends
  • Swelling in a joint that arrives after every attempt

What the $98 New-Patient Visit Includes

One appointment: consultation, exam, a trial treatment chosen from the exam, and a findings review. Mention the offer when you schedule. Restrictions may apply. Results vary.
  1. 1

    Consultation

You tell the chiropractor what hurts, what you want to get back to, and which clinic you are visiting.

  2. 2

    Exam

A neuro-musculo-skeletal exam looks for the source: the joint, the muscle, and the nerve.

  3. 3

    Trial Treatment

One session of spinal decompression, cold laser, or spot cryotherapy, chosen from the exam. That session is included in the visit.

  4. 4

    Findings Review

Your Chiropractor will go over the results of the exam and discuss a plan of care.

Questions

Common Questions

Answers from the chiropractors. Anything specific to you belongs in the exam, not on a web page.
Is rehab offered at every location?

Yes. Each clinic can include rehab. The exact machines in the room can differ, and the staff will say what is on site.

Do I need gym clothes?

Something you can move in helps, and flat shoes are better than sandals. Nothing else is required.

Will rehab replace my adjustments?

Sometimes it becomes the main part of the plan as symptoms settle. That is a decision made from retests, not a package chosen up front.

Can I keep doing my own workouts?

Usually, and the chiropractor would rather know exactly what they are. Bring your routine so the clinic can tell you which parts to pause and which ones are already helping.

Is this the same as physical therapy?

It is in-clinic rehabilitative exercise under chiropractic care.
