Best chiropractor in Buda
TexStar Chiropractic was voted Best Chiropractor in the Austin area in the 2026 Best of ATX awards, presented by Statesman and Austin Monthly. The Buda clinic is one of the four offices covered by that vote. It is a public vote, not a promise about any one visit. Results vary.
What We See in Buda Patients
The low-back stories in this room are Hays County ones: a warehouse shift that loads one side, a Kyle school pickup that follows an hour in the car, or a weekend of lifting at a Mountain City house. Some people only feel the spine. Others feel it skip into the buttock after they stand up from the driver’s seat. Dr. Woods treats that pattern here. He does not send ordinary Buda back pain to Southwest Parkway.
How This Office Diagnoses Back Pain
The Buda exam asks what you could still do on a Tuesday versus what stopped you by Thursday. Dr. Woods checks lumbar motion, hip strength, and whether a leg symptom follows a nerve, before anyone is placed on the decompression table. An old MRI from a Kyle or Austin imaging center is useful. It does not replace the tests done in Suite D.
Back Pain Treatments at the Buda Clinic
For the low back, Suite D can use an adjustment, spinal decompression, rehab, MLS laser, or spot cryotherapy. Knee on Trac is also in Buda, but it is not a back machine. If the exam says the pain is coming from the hip or the knee instead of the lumbar spine, the plan changes. Austin’s office cannot be substituted when you specifically want this Buda table.
First Visit on Cimarron Park Loop
Book after 9am on a weekday, or from 8am on Friday. Say you are coming for the $98 new-patient exam and that the problem is your low back. The visit is a consult, the exam, one trial session chosen from decompression, laser, or spot cryotherapy, and a review of what was found. You leave knowing the next step. You are not handed a preset number of Buda visits.
Who Is Not a Fit
Do not wait for this clinic if you cannot control urine or stool, if numbness is spreading through the saddle area, or if one leg is clearly weaker than it was this morning. Those findings need an emergency department. A back that is hot, feverish, and new after cancer treatment should be cleared medically before Dr. Woods adjusts it.
Buda Reviews
Buda reviews are on that clinic’s Google listing. After a completed visit, the office sends the link to leave one. You can also leave a Buda review.
When should I see a chiropractor for lower back pain in Buda?
Come to Suite D when Buda or Kyle back pain has lasted more than a few days, keeps you from the I-35 commute, or starts to travel into a hip or leg. Same-day weakness, saddle numbness, or loss of bladder control belongs in the emergency room, not on Cimarron Park Loop.
Do you treat sciatica and disc problems at the Buda clinic?
Yes. Dr. Ryan T. Woods examines leg pain and disc-pattern symptoms in this office. Spinal decompression is in the building. It may help some of those cases. It does not guarantee you will avoid surgery.
Is spinal decompression available in Buda?
Yes. The decompression table is at 181 Cimarron Park Loop. Knee on Trac is also here, but that device is for the knee, not the low back.
What happens at the first visit?
Mention the $98 offer. Dr. Woods takes the history, tests motion and nerve strength, and may use one trial of spinal decompression, laser, or spot cryotherapy. You get a findings review before anyone proposes a longer plan. Weekday doors open at 9am.
Do you take insurance?
TexStar lists Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United, Humana, Baylor Scott and White, Medicare, and Curative as in network. Benefits still depend on the plan. Call +1 (512) 899-2228 and say Buda if you want a benefits check first.
How is this different from generic stretching or pain meds?
Stretching and medication can quiet a sore muscle. This visit looks for which joint, disc, or movement in your low back is driving the pain, then picks a treatment that is actually in Suite D. TexStar does not prescribe pain medication.
