Golf back pain near Barton Creek and Spanish Oaks

A back that grabs on the follow-through at Barton Creek, Spanish Oaks, or a Lakeway round is a common reason people book TexStar on Bee Caves Road. Dr. John E. Jacobson, DC, examines how you rotate before he treats anything. Results vary.

What the swing asks of a back

The follow-through loads rotation through the low back and hips, often after a week of sitting. Pain on one side at impact, a catch standing over the ball, or stiffness the next morning are the usual reports. Pain that runs past the knee is no longer “a golf back.” That pattern needs the sciatica exam.

Why Bee Cave is the office for these courses

The clinic is at 11614 Bee Caves Road, Suite 110, Bee Cave, TX 78738, which is the practical stop for Spanish Oaks, Barton Creek, Falconhead, and Lakeway. Dr. Jacobson directs it. His background is sports rehabilitation, and he uses the least force that still changes the joint.

Care may include an adjustment, soft-tissue work, rehab, laser, or cryotherapy. Spinal decompression is available if the exam shows a disc-type problem, not because you golf. Knee on Trac is in this building if the lead knee, not the back, is the real complaint.

A simple screen before you book

  • Pain stays in the back or hip and changes with bending or rotating
  • You can walk, and strength in the legs feels normal
  • There is no fever, no new bowel or bladder change, and no weakness that is spreading

If any of those safety lines fail, get medical care first. Otherwise book Bee Cave, Monday through Thursday 8am to 6pm, Friday 8am to noon. Mention the $98 new-patient offer. Restrictions may apply.

Oak Hill and Circle C players can use Southwest Parkway. Kyle and Buda players can use Cimarron Park Loop. Care may reduce pain and improve how you rotate. Results vary.

Common Questions

Should golfers go to Bee Cave or South Austin?

Barton Creek, Spanish Oaks, Lakeway, and Bee Cave should use 11614 Bee Caves Road. Oak Hill golfers who live south may prefer Southwest Parkway. The exam standard is the same.

Do you watch the swing?

The exam looks at rotation, hip motion, and where the pain starts. It is not a swing-coaching session. If the pain travels past the knee, the nerve tests come first.

Can I play the next day?

That depends on the findings. The doctor will tell you what to pause. Results vary, and a single visit is not a plan by itself.
