Spinal decompression at TexStar is a table that unloads a section of the spine for a measured time. All four clinics have it. It is considered after an exam shows disc-type neck or low-back findings that match the table. It is not the default for every sore back. Results vary.
What the table is for
People who may be considered have leg or arm symptoms that follow a nerve, a disc finding that matches those symptoms, and a screen that does not show an emergency. People who are a poor fit include anyone with worsening weakness, new bowel or bladder changes, a spine infection concern, or pain that is clearly a hip, a knee, or a muscle and not a disc.

What a session is not

Is decompression the same as Knee on Trac?
No. Spinal decompression is for the spine and is in every clinic. Knee on Trac is a knee device at Bee Cave and Buda only.
Will decompression fix a herniated disc?
No one at TexStar can promise that. The table may be part of a plan that reduces pain and improves function for some people. Results vary.
Can I request the table as my $98 trial?
You can mention the $98 offer. The doctor chooses the trial treatment from the exam. If decompression is a poor fit that day, it is not the trial.
