Dr. Henry: Dr Henry here from TexStar Chiropractic. I’m here with Linda, our Financial Services Coordinator. Linda’s job is to make sure that she helps our patients utilize their insurance benefits to help cover care. Linda, I have a few questions for you that I hear from patients a lot. Dr. Henry: Well good that helps a lot. So, if you have a PPO you can just come straight in. With an HMO we have to coordinate getting a referral from your primary care provider?
Linda: Correct.

Linda: The HSA is your health savings account and that does not expire and then you have this Flex spending account which expires at the end of the year. You can use that for any products that may be medically necessary.
Dr. Henry: All right, Linda, so my last question is, “Can you give us any kind of insurance takeaways that our patients should know for the end of the year?”
Linda: Well, most of the time, at the end of the year, your deductibles have been met. So that’s a really good time to come in and get your chiropractic care and use up those last visits you have for the end of the year.
Dr. Henry: Great. So, if you have any questions about health insurance or how your insurance can help, we are more than happy to answer questions. Linda can help run your insurance and tell you what your benefits are. So if you are in pain and insured by a HMO, PPO, or have HSA and/or FSA savings, give us a call. We will guide you through it all.
